I'd just like to know if anyone is having issue with this DPTF update or whether there is a fix. I'll be trying Dell once their operating hours start again. I have checked the Developers Zone on this issue with no luck. Despite the fact that virtually all modern Dell laptops (and probably others) are supposed to have the Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver installed, I couldnt find any end-user documentation about what exactly the settings do, and what the 1-5 levels mean for each. Intel support has no option to select DPTF drivers for my device, and I'm not sure which other category I should select to talk with someone about the issue. In the past, I have been able to succesfully run high-strain programs (e.g. This is after moderate strain on the CPU, GPU, and/or RAM of the laptop. Ever since then my laptop has been forcefully hibernating when the driver decides that it is too hot (supposedly over 200 F / 93 C).
